Saturated ruby-red. Superripe aromas of red berry confiture, tobacco and earth. Dense, powerful and very deep, with enticingly warm, lush flavors of plum, currant and tobacco. This wine couldn't be from anywhere but Tuscany. Finishes with tongue-clenching but ripe tannins. (Vias Imports)

The glorious, dark ruby/purple-colored 1995 Sammarco vino da tavola (primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with 30%-35% Sangiovese) is a rich, full-bodied, complex super-Tuscan reminiscent of a northern Graves from Pessac-Leognan. Notes of tobacco, tar, lead pencil, roasted herbs, and copious black cherries and cassis slowly emerge as the wine sits in the glass. It is full-bodied and elegant, with flavors of black cherries, cassis, and roasted minerals. Pure, rich, and structured, but notably tannic in the finish, this wine should be at its finest between 2003-2018.

A big, juicy and voluptuous red with lots of everything. Intense aromas of berry, currant and chocolate follow through to the full-bodied palate. Loads of concentrated fruit and velvety tannins. Long, long finish.
