The varied and colorful history of the Costanti family is interesting on its own, but the wines are sufficiently compellingh to rival it. In 1559, Cosimo de' Medici's conquest of Siena caused an exodus of enraged noblemen. Really added weight in the glass over time. By nights end was very good - needs quite a bit of decanting / bottle age still
