($48-$57) Good bright, full red. Plum, tobacco and cedary, nutty oak on the nose, with some earthy low tones. Sweeter and lusher than the 2005, with broad plum and oak flavors of impressive richness. A big boy with a long, sweet finish featuring very fine tannins.

Dark ruby color with garnet rim. A distinct candied black cherry nose with vanilla, toast and lead pencil followed by hints of warming spice like anise or licorice. Super intense and with more dusty tannins than the bunnies collecting under my bed. The acidity is also intense but delicately balanced by the other flavors and tannins. Once the tannins melt away on the palate the wine reveal wonderful cherry, red currant and blackberry fruit flavors. The finish is medium long and you will discover more fruit and sweet black licorice at the end.
