Producer Notes
The winery is located in the cool, maritime climate of the Walker Bay appellation in a valley adjacent to the old fishing village of Hermanus. ($28) Pale green-gold color. Dusty, leesy aromas of orange, lime, spices and minerals. Dense and tactile but light on its feet, packed with penetrating flavors of orange, peach and wet stone. Very suave chardonnay, combining uncanny energy with subtle weight: I love this style. A strong vintage for this consistently excellent bottling.

Lemony nose and crisp taste with no oak or vanilla flavors. Bright citrus flavors (grapefruit, lime) but short on the palate. Not a typical Chard and structure is more sauvignon blanc like.
