Producer Notes

Known since the late seventies, this domaine underwent a resurgence of quality starting in 1990 due to the dedication of Jean-Michel Gerin and the hiring of oenologist Jean-Luc Colombo. Gerin harvests his Syrah and Viognier vines on the right bank of the Rhone River. The resulting wines are ones of firm structure, rich black fruit and sweet, toasty smoke and spice.

($82) Dark red. Spicy, ripe aromas of dark berries, cherry and a suggestion of prune. Quite thick in the middle and slightly heavy on the finish. This really shows the vintage.
