(from 45 year old vines, much of which is sold to Drouhin) This is notably riper on the orchard fruit and spicy nose that precedes the nicely delineated flavors that display a subtle touch of honey and better concentration on the delicious yet serious finish that packs plenty of intensity. Lovely and well-balanced.

($59) Lemon, flowers and a light lactic note on the somewhat oaky nose. Then denser and fatter than the village offering, but not obviously more complex. The citrus and peach flavors are currently a bit dominated by the wine's oak element. Moderately ripe on the back end. Better than the village wine, but not by much.
