Light orange. Tangerine, pear and flowers on the nose, which is complicated by a note of fennel. Broad and sappy but dry, with lively orange and strawberry flavors and a subtle note of spice cake. Weightier on the finish, which features an exotic note of spicy herbs. This Champagne's delicate touch will make it work well with simple seafood dishes or even sashimi.

A coiled spring of a Champagne, with its berry and bread dough notes locked up in the structure. This needs time or food to mellow and reveal its charms. Good length, with a candied cherry aftertaste.

From 375ml (split) bottle. I must agree with Richard Juhlin's review: this wine should never be consumed young. It's extremely austere and one-dimensional, and reminds me of the quinine water my Dad would use to make cocktails. I got none of the cherry blossom or watermelon essences noted by other tasters and I've experienced in Champagne rose's at one-third the price. Disappointing.
