This is also very fresh if restrained with relatively high-toned aromas of white peach, floral notes and lemon zest that carry over onto the rich, attractively well-delineated and delicious middle weight flavors. There is enough dry extract to coat the palate on the nicely persistent and again light mineral-suffused finish. I like the style and there is a bit more overall depth here compared to the Puligny villages.

Pale, bright yellow. A ripe fruit cocktail of a nose. Supple and soft, with a suggestion of alcoholic warmth that I did not pick up a year ago. Finishes smooth and persistent, but in a distinctly soft style. I found this a bit blowsy next to a sample of the village Puligny, which was in tank awaiting bottling. The latter wine, which conveyed a light touch to its white peach, spice and mineral flavors, may well merit 90 points in its finished form.
