Peter Michael's 2010 Chardonnay La Carriere is an intense, focused wine. Lemon oil, butter, vanillin, nectarine and spices all flesh out in the glass. Once again, the Carriere is distinguished by its underlying stoniness and minerality. Stylistically, the 2010 is creamy, textured and very nicely balanced throughout. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.

A creamy Chardonnay, displaying intense, complex flavors of rich hazelnut, fig, melon and smoky oak, this is full-blown and'as of now'rustic and chewy. Give this some time, the texture should soften.
