(Note: from Puligny fruit) This is also quite reduced and thus impossible to fairly evaluate the aromatics. By contrast, there is plenty of vibrancy and bracing acidity that has a touch of malic tang to it, shaping the borderline massive flavors that possess almost painful intensity before terminating in a hugely persistent finish. Like the Corton-Charlemagne, this is extremely primary and also a bit awkward but for all that, it still appears to possess outstanding potential.

Bright, pale green-yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon oil, white pepper, wild herbs and crushed rock. Intensely flavored and suave, with a silky texture and a light touch to its lemon, stone and wild herb flavors. Wonderfully fine-grained Batard from the Puligny side of the cru.

Wine Advocate Author: Antonio Galloni Issue: 202

Jadot's 2010 Batard-Montrachet, from the Puligny side, boasts stunning minerality. Intense notes of crushed rocks and slate caress the palate. The Batard is all nuance and class. There is a level of pure delineation and crystalline definition here that is simply striking. Today the aromas and flavors are quite bright, but the wine should fill out nicely and take on richer tones as it ages. Over the time I followed it, the Batard opened up beautifully. Anticipated maturity: 2020+.

Rich, packed with apple pie, peach, honey and baking spice flavors, this features a creamy texture and vibrant acidity for balance. Lingers with spice and butterscotch accents on the finish.
