Vivid red. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, anise and incense. Shows assertive inner-mouth perfume and sweet red and dark berry character, along with a note of candied rose. Closes tight, tangy and long, with a resinous herb quality and silky tannins.

The aromas are nicely focused, vanilla-laced red raspberry, sour cherry, graphite and herb. The palate is nicely focused, lush around the edges with a delicate, soft core of fruit, sassafras and raspberry. The finish offers a lush velvety texture with delicate lilac polish.

Popped and poured. Brilliant, deep ruby color. Lots of sweet, red fruit on the nose. Rich flavors of sour cherry and rhubarb (?). As expected, this is a modern style Pinot that relies more on fruit than on structure. Enjoyable, especially with our marinated and grilled salmon.
