Bright ruby. Heady, expansive bouquet of raspberry compote, cherry-vanilla and gingerbread, with notes of white pepper and licorice in the background. Smooth and fleshy in the mouth, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors and nuances of candied flowers and herbs. Pretty hefty but by no means thick--in fact this is pretty lithe. Finishes with very good clarity and smoky, floral persistence.

This spicy Pinot delivers black cherry, plum and raspberry notes. This is medium- to full-bodied, and delicate, with silky tannins and a long, pure finish that's quite attractive.

This bottle just did not taste right to me. Not sure if it is just disjointed and in a dumb phase right now or if it will get any better. The red fruit is harsh and bitter at best. The tannins and acidity do nothing but mute the fruit. No pleasant pepper or spice either. Not an enjoyable experience. Will cork it for the night and see if any better tomorrow. I don't think it will improve but we will see. Expected much more from this winery at this price.

Pretty floral nose with fresh clean fruit. Flavor is subtle, focused, and quite acidic even at this age, with crisp mineral and wet stone. Really grabs the palate on the finish. Little if any oak influence. More subtle than the Central Coast, but with greater depth and complexity.
