Bright, dark red. Dark cherry, black raspberry, cola and rose petal on the nose. Pliant, savory and fruit-driven, with a subtle quality and very good concentration for a "village wine." With its restrained sweet, smooth texture and rather soft tannins, this ripe pinot is very easy to drink right now.

A fine example of this pioneering Pinot Noir (and now Sauvignon Blanc) wine maker. Merry makes some of my favorite Pinot Noirs. Fruit forward, hints of cacao, rosemary, fruit zest, these are amazing wines. 2009 is definitely drinkable now, and will just gain complexity with age. Find this juice and pair it with lamb, veal, salmon ... you'll be blown away.
