Pale yellow. Pure aromas of pear, stone and white flowers. Tight and minerally, with excellent cut and definition for the vintage. The perfumed stony and floral flavors carry through nicely on the persistent aftertaste.

The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot is a big wine. Despite its size, the Abbaye de Morgeot preserves considerable freshness and verve. The red, clay rich soils and small grapes with a significant millerandage contribute quite a bit to the wine's broad-shouldered, textured personality. According to Lardiere and Barnier the dry extract numbers resemble those of red wines.
