Pale bright yellow. Austere aromas of grapefruit pith and stone, with high notes of lavender and violet. Dense, rich, seamless and light on its feet, with pear and citrus fruit flavors given punch by a strong crushed stone element. This very young chardonnay finishes with excellent sneaky length. I happened to taste this next to a decent Corton-Charlemagne and the two wines showed more similarities than differences.

Has a brilliant nose of round lemon, firm mineral and green pear. The palate is dry with an elegant austerity. Medium bodied with green apple, pear and crisp citrus flavors, as well as excellent acidity. The finish lasts for over sixty seconds. I wish more California Chardonnay showed this type of restraint.
