($79) Bright, deep medium red. Very ripe, soil-driven aromas of black raspberry, cherry, mocha, bitter chocolate, violet, game and peppery spices, lifted by a whiff of orange peel. Then tangy and highly concentrated, with a restrained sweetness to its deep but tightly wound core of ripe raspberry fruit. The very long, sappy, palate-dusting finish is classically dry and firmly tannic, showing a solid structure that demands at least a couple years of patience.

Bright mid crimson. Racy and transparent and attractively dry on the finish. Very youthful. Herbs in abundance. Proper terroir stuff.

This wine has a subdued red cherry and cranberry nose over notes of moss, forest floor and a whiff of meat. Crisp in the mouth with medium-firm, fine grained tannins, it has great concentration and a long finish.

Wonderfully elegant, crisp, aromatic and complex, with dried lavender, sandalwood and rose petal notes that give way to perfectly ripe and silky black cherry, plum, clove and tobacco flavors, which persist on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 42 cases imported.
