Good bright red. Explosive, very ripe aromas of raspberry, spices, coffee and chocolate. Dense and creamy but energetic too, with surprising acidity giving the wine good cut and extending the finish. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and a repeating note of chocolate.

The 2009 Morey St. Denis emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, mint and dark red fruit, all of which flow gracefully to the textured, multi-dimensional finish. This is a beautiful wine at the village level. The Morey was bottled in February 2011.
