The 2009 Reva (Syrah) caresses the palate with layers of striking, pure fruit. Expressive aromatics are woven throughout, adding considerable freshness. The 2009 has some of the opulence found in vintages such as 2007, coupled with the energy of years like 2008. Polish and pure sensuality abound in this utterly impeccable Syrah. Sweet floral notes and a blast of dark red fruit frame the long finish. This is yet another head-spinning wine from Alban. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
