(cabernet sauvignon with 7% petit verdot): Full red-ruby. Aromas of currant, licorice, mocha and nutty oak. Dense, creamy and full, with a slightly high-toned character to its currant, black cherry, licorice and chocolate flavors. Finishes with black cherry and menthol notes and a firm dusting of tannins.

The 2009 The Bard is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash (7%) of Petit Verdot. It possesses striking inner perfume and dazzling richness in its fruit, with layers of flavor that build effortlessly to the textured, vivid finish.

Marked by an earthy barnyard streak that runs through the otherwise ripe currant and plum flavors, with dried herb, graphite and crushed rock, ending with firm tannins. Best of two. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
