(94% cabernet sauvignon, 3% cabernet franc and 3% merlot): Glass-staining ruby. Complex, spice-accented aromas of black and blue fruit preserves, vanilla, mocha and pipe tobacco, with a smoky nuance building with air. Lush, palate-staining blackberry and blueberry flavors show impressive depth and surprising energy, with gentle acidity providing lift. Closes sweet and very long, with velvety tannins and a lingering vanilla note.
