Deep ruby-red. Dark, mineral-driven aromas of black plum, cassis, menthol and licorice. Then creamy-sweet and open-knit for a young cabernet from Spring Mountain, with intense dark berry flavors complicated by a saline nuance on the back end. The finish is tactile, firmly tannic and long. This wine went into a shell in the glass, suggesting that it will need some bottle aging.

Dry and restrained, with crushed rock and mineral notes accompanied by a trim band of currant and berry. More interesting and engaging on the finish, which is a good sign. 485 cases made.
