Deep ruby. Musky aromas of black fruits, espresso and cocoa; shows a strong torrefaction quality. Lush, silky and refined; more filled in and showy today than the basic cabernet release, which is also from estate fruit in 2009. Richer and lower-toned than the regular cabernet, with complicating notes of chocolate, mocha, earth and game. Finishes fat and long, with harmonious melting tannins.

Not quite as good as their 2008 bottling. However, it is full bodied, with currants & plums. It has a nice pepper flavor on the long finish.
