Reviews For This Wine

International Wine Cellar | 90

(15.2% alcohol; from Spring Mountain and Mount Veeder fruit): Good full ruby. Aromas of dark berries, dark chocolate and menthol. Sweet, lush and large-scaled, with a slightly aggressive quality to the primary mountain berry flavors. This big boy finishes with a boatload of tannins and a chocolatey quality.

A non ML Chardonnay and a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon are bottled under the label known as 2480, the address of the legendary UC Davis Enology and Viticulture Professor Maynard Amerine, whose home Doug Barr purchased when he moved to the Valley.
