($54) Vivid red. Ethereal, spice-laced aromas of raspberry, dried rose, anise and underbrush. Sweet, sappy and seamless, with pepper and Asian spice elements giving the intense red berry flavors a deceptive lightness of touch. Finishes with spreading breadth, a jolt of bitter cherry and terrific vivacity.

Rich and complex, with tight, dense, loamy earth, raspberry and wild berry fruit that's fresh and vivid. Well-focused and full-bodied, ending with wonderful complexity and intensity.

opened for my wife on her birthday.
Color is medium pinot. Nose is full and showing beautiful red fruit, vanilla, nutmeg, and orange zest. The palate shows a gorgeous juicy red fruit. Very long and concentrated. Orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel. Hints of smoky oak. A nice minerality carries through the complex finish. A very drinkable and impressive wine.
