Displaying an even more opaque purple color, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate exhibits a glorious nose of blueberries, black raspberries, plums, graphite and crushed rocks. This exquisite Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is about as good as it gets from these higher elevation vineyards on the eastern side of Napa Valley. A brilliant texture, stunning purity and great length make for a fabulous wine to drink over the next 20-25+ years.

Firm, dense and concentrated, with a pleasant roasted popcorn and melted chocolate note atop the rich currant, blackberry and dark berry parade of flavors. Full-bodied, deep and persistent, with the long, lingering finish folding together nicely. Shows sufficient tannic muscle.

Screw top bottle. Ridiculously good. Thick intense, with sweet fresh fruit of berries, smooth tannins with incredible integration. For some reason I tasted sweet pineapple on the finish (best piña collada ever...). This is a great wine - hard to let this age when it is so good now. A great wine for fans of this style - wish I had many bottles

This definately needs a long decant as it was highly alcoholic right out of the bottle. Once it had sat for about 3 hours, a beautiful wine emerged with hints of sandlewood, leather, and bits of cola mixed within. A truly exceptional bottle of wine with silky smooth tannins.
