(blended with 20% cabernet franc): Good full ruby-red. High-pitched aromas of cassis, chocolate, spices and violet. Densely packed and intense but tightly wound, with a light touch to the dark berry and licorice flavors. Broader and more tactile than the regular cabernet sauvignon bottling, showing a finer grain. The persistent finish features dusty tongue-coating tannins and a hint of wildness.
