Vivid red. An exotically perfumed bouquet displays cinnamon-accented red berries and cherry, with a sexy floral overtone. Spicy and incisive on the palate, offering sweet raspberry and cherry flavors and a hint of baking spices. The spicy notes linger on a long, silky finish. Showing lots of complexity right now but this is also balanced to age. (Weygandt-Metzler Importing, Unionville, PA)

About This Producer

The father and son team of Gerard and Laurent Charvin define the quintessential boutique domaine. From their 8 hectares of Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, a small amount is kept from the best lots for their own bottling. Just over 80% is Grenache, with Mourvedre, Syrah and Vaccarese rounding out the blend. This Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a premium production with a palate of red fruit and berries with elegant white pepper, pink peppercorn and sweet garrigue.
