Reviews For This Wine

International Wine Cellar | 94

($51; 50% syrah and 25% each of mourvedre and grenache; 15.5% alcohol) Inky ruby. Blackberry, boysenberry and pungent flowers on the explosively perfumed nose, with a spicy topnote providing lift. Wonderfully sweet, lush and deeply concentrated, but lively, with sexy flavors of black raspberry, candied violet and licorice. Finishes very long and sappy, with extremely supple tannins and an exotic sweetness. Shockingly graceful considering its sheer mass.

Riveting aromas of berry jam, black licorice, espresso and raspberry are intense, full-bodied, dense and stylish on the palate, at times both supple and firm in texture, ending with a gush of gutsy berry flavors. Needs time, but offers an amazing finish. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre.
