Issue: Issue 150
($150; with 4% petit verdot) Good deep red-ruby. Ripe, sweet aromas of currant, mocha, truffle, leather and chocolate, plus a whiff of blueberry from the petit verdot. Then broad and sweet but with a firm acid spine for the vintage. Distinctly dark flavors of blueberry, black raspberry and licorice. Finishes with densely packed tannins and excellent persistence. This should evolve very slowly.

Kongsgaard's finest Cabernet Sauvignon to date is the 2007. Its dense purple color is accompanied by deep cassis, smoke, blackberry, licorice, and roasted meat-like characteristics. Dense and rich with sweet tannin, full-bodied power, and a youthful style, it should evolve for at least 20 years.
