The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a similar color with a slight pinkish hue at the edge. The aromatics are more restrained and less complex than the 2005's, but the 2006 explodes in the mouth revealing dense creme de cassis flavors intermixed with licorice, smoke, and earth. The thickness, richness, and density in the mouth auger well for the future. While the 2006 may not hit the peaks of the 2005, it is still an impressive Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 15 years.

Pure, elegant, sophisticated and balanced, with spicy currant, plum, wild berry and spicy, floral notes, this is rich and concentrated, yet elegant and refined, ending with touches of espresso, cedar and mocha.

Brings cassis, fennel and blackberry aromas. On the palate, precise, clean impressions of brilliant cassis, herb and finely textured tannins. This was one of my Top 25 wines in 2009.
