(from 50+ year old vines) A very Chambolle nose of high-toned raspberry and cherry aromas complements well the sweet, round and seductively textured flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration and outstanding depth on the punchy and palate staining finish. There is ample dry extract here and this should age very well as it's both balanced and blessed with impressive raw materials.

Good bright, dark red. Musky aromas of redcurrant and raspberry. Supple and sweet if not particularly complex, with a finer grain than the Combottes. Flavors of red fruits and smoke linger on the finish, which shows a light dusting of tannins. Very nicely balanced wine.

Smoky black tea, sweet floral perfume, and oriental spices greet the nose from the glass of Dujac 2006 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers. Subtly creamy in texture, this displays clarity to inner mouth perfume, spice, and saline, chalky mineral nuances that is exceptional for the vintage. Despite the textural allure, it finishes with a penetration, rectitude, and hint of bitterness that for some tasters may add up to a touch of austerity, yet preserves a wealth of floral and mineral nuances as well as genuine refreshment. I expect this will be best enjoyed over the next 5-7 years.
