There are 600 six packs of the 2006 Grenache. Made from a tiny yielding clone, it is a textbook Grenache that ranks alongside Sine Qua Non's Grenache as the two finest made in California. A dense purple hue is accompanied by a glorious nose of kirsch liqueur interwoven with licorice, forest floor, pepper, and spice. It possesses outstanding stuffing, a tremendous, full-bodied mouthfeel, and moderate tannin. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 12-15 years.

Dark, rich and savory, intense and full-bodied, with concentrated layers of blackberry, wild berry and boysenberry flavors that are pure and focused, ending with fleshy tannins. Young and massive for Grenache.

Dense, dark lustrous purple. Amazing, intensely aromatic nose. Sweet, almost sugary fruit; kirsch, blackcurrant, liquorice and a little spice from the oak. Rich, velvety full body, good acidity and smooth sweet tannins. Overwhelming sweet fruits on the palate, long and lingering cassis with spicy pepper and rich leathery chocolate on the very long finish. It's excellent, but I'm not sure I could drink much of it.
