($20) Good full ruby-red. Briary dark berries and licorice on the slightly liqueur-like nose. Spicy red fruit and pepper flavors are nicely framed by fresh acidity. Offers good texture and finishes with substantial tannins. This is always good value.

Crimson in color. High rim variation. Slow legs. Medium/Full bodied. Coarse texture. Long finish. Brought over by JR, good wine for a Zin, but not great. A little heavy and slightly spicy for my taste. Pretty complex and big.

Supple, glycerin-rich wine with jammy notes of black raspberry, plum and a bit of leather and smoky underbrush. The alcohol is well-concealed. I would drink this at cool room temperature.
