The 2006 Dancing Hares is an intriguing blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc. This wine displays chocolatey, sweet, smoked herb, plum, black cherry, and currant notes, a nice, fleshy mouthfeel, low acidity, and sweet tannin. It is an attractive wine that avoids the rustic tannins that some 2006 Bordeaux varietals have. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.

Intense and at times rustic and chewy, with a woodsy, herbal edge to the extracted dried currant, blackberry and black licorice flavors. Full-bodied and marked by chewy tannins, but the flavors flow freely on the finish.Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Beautiful nose of sweet dark fruits. A bit of a hot nose. Chalky on palate, tannic but nice fruit. Medium length ashy finish.
