($54) Medium red. Very elegant on the nose, with lively raspberry and wild strawberry aromas underpinned by zesty mineral and white flower notes. Round and silky on the palate, showing a deep, almost jammy raspberry quality and very gentle tannins. Finishes with excellent flavor expansion and length, leaving behind an almost sappy red fruit impression.

Dark ruby/purple-tinged with high acid and a sour cherry/pomegranate-like style is the 2005 Pinot Noir Bucher Vineyard. It does offer an earthy component, but it pushes acid levels to the brink of excess.

sour cherry and pomengranate flavors with lots of acidity, verging on too much of a good thing. Perhaps more bottle time will help....
