Although extremely limited in availability, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts an inky/ruby/purple color as well as gorgeous aromas of cedar, spice box, black currants, licorice, and a touch of wood spice. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, superb concentration, and a beautiful texture, this impressive St.-Julien-styled Napa Cabernet should drink well for 20+ years.

Rich and expressive, with ripe, potent, concentrated tiers of spicy currant, fresh earth, mineral, sage and dried berry flavors that are tight, focused and concentrated, ending with a long, persistent finish.

shows truffle, licorice and spice with a bit of herb in the nose with a dense and polished palate of dark richness. There is lots of texture on the finish with delicious and harmonious balance. The finish is chocolate mole and a bit of graphite.

The nose is full of an unbelievable amount of sun-warmed mountain blackberry, vibrant cassis and cherry. The palate begins with a loamy smoothness that continues to develop more underlying complexity with air.During my 45 minutes of tasting, essences of beautifully polished kirsch-like cherry, allspice, blue plum,
vanilla and blueberry emerge to weave across the palate. Production is 235 cases and is primarily to mailing list only.
