(from 50+ year old vines) Here there is just a touch of post-bottling reduction but not enough to hide the nose which is also very floral in character with rich, full and sweet flavors that possess the same silkiness on the delicious and wonderfully vibrant finish that possesses just a bit more overall depth. This has that Hameau de Blagny feel to it as there is the coolness and reserve that is often found here.

(from vines in excess of 50 years of age) Apple, pear and white flowers on the nose, lifted by spicy oak. Fatter and deeper than the Garenne but with lovely precision and purity to the ripe citrus flavors. Uncompromisingly dry and currently dominated by its structure. Rather broad-shouldered, masculine wine, less delicate than the Garenne.

Cool, restrained, one might even say reflective, less ripe and much harder to identify by vintage than the Matrot Combettes tasted last night. Lovely balance. I need more experience with this little hillside site.
