(from two different vineyards within the Sonoma Coast - 1740 cases produced and bottled at 14.4%; $42) This is quite ripe with dark red and blue berry aromas where hints of spice and smoke add nuance and continue onto the rich, delicious and velvety flavors that are very suave and mouth coating though there is just a touch of acidity that pokes through on the admirably long finish. This is ripe and rich but not top heavy.

($42) Medium red. Bright, spicy aromas of cherry and minerals, with a deeper note of cherry pit. Picks up a cocoa powder note on the palate and repeats the fresh cherry note. The spice notes return on the sweet, persistent finish, which features a dusting of fine tannins. This gained in brightness with air, suggesting that it will hold well in a cool cellar.

The 2005 Pinot Noir La Neblina possesses pomegranate notes intermixed with earth, cola, and spice. It has excellent texture and an attractive, medium-bodied finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

Aromas of mineral and pebble join ripe raspberry and red currant fruit. Intense and focused, with a beam of vibrant blueberry flavors. Ends with a nice touch of fresh earth and a delicate aftertaste. 1,740 cases made.
