($175) Good red-ruby. Flamboyantly sexy aromas of raspberry liqueur, woodsmoke, incense, rose oil, soy sauce and truffle. Sweet, sexy and deep, with a creamy, almost decadent core of framboise and soil flavors given energy and lift by underlying minerality. Offers an uncanny combination of silkiness and verve and finishes with suave tannins and outstanding length. One of the sexiest California wines I tasted this spring. This Bordeaux blend comes from a vineyard on Pritchard Hill, above Lake Hennessy at an elevation of 1,400 feet, and is made by Andy Erickson with Michel Rolland consulting.

Beautifully crafted, rich and complex, focused on ripe, loamy currant, spice, subtle herb and mineral notes that are well-proportioned, offering depth and concentration while remaining elegant and fleshy. Has a long, persistent finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot.
