This is also reserved but slightly riper with much more elegant red pinot fruit suffused with obvious minerality and a certain coolness that leads to rich, detailed, intense and textured flavors that are supple on the attack but firm up quickly on the complex and long finish. The tannins are a good deal more sophisticated here and I very much like the overall sense of harmony and refinement. Recommended.

(negociant wine)) Good bright, deep ruby-red. Lovely perfumed aromas of black fruits, minerals and violet. Pure, aromatic and complex in the mouth, hinting at bitter cherry and dark chocolate. Broad, dense, rich and sweet, with the chocolatey character complicated by a saline nuance on the finish, which features solid, building tannins and very good ripeness.

knock-out amazing, this is drinking superb right now, everything that a perrieres should be, minerality, structure, but the '05 spiff adds a ripe coolness...and textured/layered tannins that last and last.
