($70) Bright gold. Vibrant aromas of Meyer lemon, orange and green apple, with subtle lees and toasted bread adding depth. Sappy, chewy citrus and orchard fruit flavors are impressively deep but also lively and fresh, with excellent lift and cut. Tightens up on the finish, with the brisk citrus qualities repeating. There's something ethereal about this precise lightweight.

The 2005 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard exhibits a light green/gold color as well as beautiful aromas of lemon oil, tangerine rind, and subtle wood spices, zesty acidity, full body, superb concentration, and stunning length. It should evolve for 7-10 years.

Rich, smoky marshmallow, fig, citrus, melon and nutmeg scents that are elegant and understated. The flavors fan out nicely on the finish, ending with a clean, lively finish. Drink now through 2011. 3,635 cases made.

Good Kistler Chardonnay which means really good wine - a bit oakier than other Kistler's I've had but great citrus flavors and beautiful straw color. Only negative could be it seemed pretty close to peak at this point and it may be time to drink them now

Nose dominated mainly by toast and fig with roasted apple also. Very good length. Flashes of orange water on the buttery palate. Bright acidity, though not quite as fresh as I remembered it from a year ago. Echoes of the fig. Brioche and butterscotch. Very good but didn't bowl me over the way it did the first time. 14.1%
