(from a parcel measuring .78 ha that is on the Genevrières side) A beautifully fresh and expressive nose of straw and ripe orchard fruit gives way to classically proportioned Poruzots flavors as they're powerful, muscular and driving with ample size and weight, all wrapped in a citrus-infuse finish. As is typical of Poruzots, this won't win any awards for elegance or refinement but the explosive finish and sheer intensity will have its fans.

Ripe, sexy aromas of apple and pear. Supple, pure and concentrated, with fruit-driven flavors of peach, apple and pear. The wine's power and thrust are partly hidden by its sugar/acid balance. Finishes with noteworthy length. The crop level here was a very reasonable 35 hectoliters per hectare, according to Jobard.

Great restraint on the nose. Full, rich, liquorice and spice. Lots there yet great delicacy and precision – a well finished wine.

A delicious, well-integrated white Burgundy that's ready to drink. Honey, peach, grapefruit and mineral aromas and flavors ride the lush, juicy texture as this glides to a long aftertaste. Should still develop. Drink now through 2016. 10 cases imported.
