(from 2 parcels of vines, one of which is 40+ years old and the other which is young vines) While the wood is hardly invisible here, it's less of a singular component and works with the impressively elegant and pure rose and acacia blossom aromas that lead to rich, detailed and equally pure flavors that offer up solid depth and persistence on the toasty finish.

($100) Yellow fruits, flowers, crushed stone, smoky lees, acacia blossom and some obvious sweet oak on the nose. Big, rich, dry and broad; fat and full but not heavy. The musky flavors of peach, honey and truffle are still youthfully closed, but the wine's underlying power and firm shape suggest it will reward a few years of aging. Bruno has a blend of 25- and 55-year-old vines here.
