The 2005 Chardonnay Clare offers exotic tropical fruit notes, has a medium straw color, seems more tightly knit in the mouth, with more noticeable acidity. This acidity gives the wine tremendous structure and tightness, reminding me of a backward white Burgundy in terms of its structural mouthfeel. This is another beauty that should drink nicely for 5-7 years.

Tight and concentrated, with a mix of green apple, citrus, Meyer lemon and flinty mineral notes that are intense and focused, with a complex finish that ends with a touch of oak. 268 cases made.

Good Russian River chardonnay with spicy notes and vanilla; good now, would probably benefit from a few more years in bottle to smooth out the spicy edges
