More Vintages and Sizes of Daniel Dampt - Chablis Cote de Lechet 1er Cru:
Author: Allen Meadows
Issue: Issue 24
An airy and perfumed nose of lilting citrus and stone precedes detailed, pure, vibrant and utterly chiseled flavors that are racy and impeccably well balanced. This is sheer class rendered in an understated style yet there is no austerity or coolness in 2005.

It's all about expectations. We were not familiar with Chablis, so we were expecting something more like a Cote, d'Or premier cru. This is more like a Poully Fume - lighter and very crisp. Enjoyed it much more this time w/ grilled fish. Let it breath for awhile.
