(80% Carignan and 20% Garnacha from 125+ year old vines). A newcomer to the Priorat, this superb production - under the Emmanuel Kemiji umbrella - will be making waves in the near future. Intense slate-drenched plum, purple floral aromatics are joined by a heady perfume of blackberry puree, herbed plum, black peppercorn and cedar that provide instant allure. The nose alone is worth the price of entry. Though still youthful and tightly wound, what a treat awaits your mouth. Sinewy and lithe, it is a composed amalgam of Old and New World traits. Plum, forest berry, pomegranate and a bit of licorice vie for your taste buds attention. Rife with that typical slate minerality, it also boasts a dusty cocoa, roasted coffe ground and smoky meat quality. Very solid and statuesque with a courtly elegance. This keeps getting better with an hour in the glass and unwinds with great aplomb. A mere 60 cases produced.
