Burghound Author: Allen Meadows Issue: Issue 23

(bottled at 13.8%) The nose is slightly fresher and brighter with slightly deeper aromas of red pinot fruity and hints of earth and underbrush preceding sweet, intense and vibrant flavors that aren't especially complex but possess good finish pop and I like the energy here.

($39) Medium red with a pale rim. Nose combines cherry, mocha, spices and underbrush. Aromatic, ripe and spicy in the mouth, with flavors of cherry, raspberry and orange peel. This perfumed, sweet wine could not be anything but pinot. Offers a refreshing coolness for the year.
