The gorgeous 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon from Revana is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a complex nose of forest floor, black cherries, and black currants, with hints of cedar wood and spice box. In the mouth it is elegant, with sweet tannins, terrific fruit, and purity, as well as a layered, opulent mouthfeel and a beautiful, long finish of a good 40+ seconds. This wine is already exhibiting complexity and early drinkability, but has the balance and requisite depth to age well for 10-15 years.

Aromas of fresh herb, sage and dusty berry fold into the ripe currant and cherry fruit. Has excellent structure, depth, balance and proportion, and the finish is long and persistent, ending with a nice mineral edge.

Heidi Barrett and Tom Garrett continue with a wine that recalls more of the 2002 than the 2003 vintage. Jim Barbour's groomed vineyards yielded exceptional fruit in 2004 comprised of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petite Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Production is up to 2000 cases.
Perfume of chocolate, plum and dark berry with hints of salt and anise. The mouthfeel is soft and ripe with full-bodied velvet-like mid-palate. Dark fruits: blackberry, plum, and cherry are softened by toast and an elegant length.
