($72) Full medium ruby. Cassis, minerals, dark chocolate, fruitcake and a floral topnote on the nose. Dense and full but juicy, with highly concentrated, sweet flavors of berries, chocolate and spices. Conveys an impression of strong extract. Finishes with sweet tannins, excellent length and a peppery lift.

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) exhibits a dark ruby/purple hue along with a sweet bouquet of scorched earth, smoky new oak, black currants, roasted coffee beans, and a hint of leather. Blueberry and blackberry fruit characteristics also emerge from this full-bodied, supple-textured, opulent, flamboyant, sexy, seductive effort. Consume it over the next 15+ years.

Dense, rich and concentrated, with a chewy core of ripe currant and blackberry fruit that teeters on syrupy. Finishes with chewy tannins and a dash of heat, but this is deep, intense and potent, with a lingering finish.
