The sweet, round and nicely balanced flavors are certainly pretty enough with good size and weight but they lack the depth and precision that I have come to associate with this site. In short, this is a very good but not distinguished effort.

($65) Medium red. Explosive red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by Asian spices, flowers and minerals; this smells like a top-notch Vosne. Elegant and juicy, with vibrant red fruit and mineral flavors, fine tannins and a long, silky finish. This must be the most elegant pinot I've ever had from Flowers.
